About a week ago or so I heard for the first time Janis cd Revenge. Donīt get me wrong I have owed it for like well over a year and put it on every now and then, but never quite heard it before.

Then last week I put it on and it got to me. It must have been hard to make a follow up after The Grammy Award winning Breaking Silence, but what a follow up. The record is just great and as someone wrote: Lyrics are thought provoking, biting and original as ever. The music is more in the smooth pop catagory and the band is just fabolous.

The arrengement of the songs are in most cases perfect and it is like everybody are having the best of times and that shines through. Great work.

My favorite songs from that album are Ruby, The Mission and When Angels Cry.

Another buried treasure from Janis from the past I just dug up and am enjoying these days.

When Angels Cry is one of my favourite Janis songs! It can still make me cry (even tho I'm no angel). ;)

'When angels cry' is a long song with a special message and I remember Janis doing it in London - can't remember the venue. I've seen her in at least six different places in the city.

A great song and an undervalued CD.

The song When Angels Cry is one of my most favorite of Janis' songs. For me, the rest of the Revenge album wasn't as interesting as some of her other music. Right now (as in this very second) I'm listening to Mechanical Telephone from the Souvenirs album, but you know what sends (good) chills up and down my spine is her live version of Society's Child, which you can find on Itunes. The album title is listed as Unreleased: #3.

i'd like to say revenge is one of my favorite albums, bit all of them are. revenge was the first one i'd heard in many many years and i will say it brought me back to Janis, not that i was every that far away, i just didn't have access to any of the albums since Between The Lines, after hearing Revenge, i found a way to get access to all of her work. When angles cry always is a fantastic song on a fantastic album

I really got into the Billie's Bones album. When I Lay Down is my favorite song of everything that Janis has done.
