Our fifteen year old mutt-mix Bridie (sp? I never had to spell it...) died while we were all over in England. Originally she belonged to the family that moved to England, and this entire year she has been waiting for them to return. At least now I know she is no longer suffering, but it was hard for everyone. She "trained" all our other dogs, and was always the toughest old lady, but so sweet to children. We're all going to miss her, but it is hardest for my cousins who know they had to leave her in America, but at least they saw her one last time last month or so. I remember her as being around my entire life. We all have many memories of her, and are feeling thankful to my sister who can never get enough doggie pictures.

Song,
My condolences, too bad your Janis high had to be dampened by this sad event. She had a good long life and is now in doggie heaven having a fabulous after life.

Thank you for your condolences. It dampened the whole England trip (though only for a day) because originally Bridie belonged to my Aunt and Uncle's family, the people we are visiting in England. Most of the older people had been through a loss in a pet before, but I felt for Emmalin and Charlie (my cousins) whom had owned her for their entire lives before they came to England. She was a wonderful dog, certain proof that pedigree isn't everything.
