I don't know a thing about this other than it comes from Agnitum (the makers of the excellent Outpost firewall that I've used in the past) and it's free. Free is good. If it's as good as Outpost then it should be excellent. Here's what they say about it:

Agnitum Spam Terrier

Protects your inbox from spam - the junk emails you don't need or want. Absolutely free!

Generic drugs. Replica watches. Low-interest loans. Porn. Nigerian bank fraud. Paypal and eBay account updates that demand your passwords. Research indicates that 90 percent of all email is spam.

Don't just accept this as an unfortunate fact of life. Spam is dangerous. Spam wastes your time. Spam invades your life and your privacy. Spam infects your computer with Spyware and Trojans that steal your identity.

We have a spam firewall at work. Stuff gets through. There is no way for a spam firewall to be 100% unless you create a whitelist and only allow stuff in from folks on the whitelist. This of course, can prevent good stuff from coming in, like messages from long lost friends, etc.

What our users don't realize is, in spite of the volume of stuff that does get through, we are blocking well over 75% of the email that hits our gateway. When they complain, we threaten to turn of the controls and let them see how well the thing really works!

MY IP provides Postini and I have selected "aggressive" for my junk mail settings. Lately all sorts of Viagra, stocks, loans, etc have gotten through so I'm going to try this new anti-spam tool to see if it cuts down on the spam that gets by Postini, not that I dissatisfied with Postini.
