Andrea, Great! I have always loved Candi Staton! From the late 70's, early 80's. She has such an earthy, rich, voice. I remember she did a song called "Victim" . Another great one! Thanks for sharing her "Myspace".

Thanks I heard the Candi Stanton song on myspace then when looking for Janis's "His Hands" on ITunes. This was one of the few songs I haven 't been able to find. In fact I don't see her "Breaking Silence" album there.

Whenever someone mentions a Janis song or I read about one I haven't heard I usually buy it on ITunes. Hope Janis gets at least a few cents for every one of her songs purchased. I'm of course going to collect cd's but I'm the type that wants to hear it now so ITunes is handy.

Actually, that's not the Janis song. I forget who actually wrote the Candi Stanton one. I'll have to check the CD when I get home. But I did think it was interesting that it was the same title and same topic as the one Janis wrote.

You can pull up the lyrics to Janis' "His Hands" from the main website and compare them to the Candi Stanton song.

Both are very cool songs!
