Agnes posted a thread about this man and his band a while back.

I just came across a superb video of him playing live on UK tv and wanted to give rudies the chance to hear this man's voice as it is truly remarkable.

I met him briefly in 2005 and he is painfully shy and very gentle, but what a voice- he has even been compared to Nina Simone and Billie Holliday.

This tv appearance is of his song "You Are My Sister" and is performed with Boy George, who himself has lost none of the soulful quality of his voice, judging from this truly excellent performance.

enjoy :)

p.s. the last 45 seconds of this performance bring tears to my eyes... a real lesson in how to perform a duet in a heartfelt way

Been a big fan since their first album. The first time I heard Cripple and The Starfish it broke my heart. I still can't listen without crying. Love him. :)

he is indeed a unique talent.

he's also recorded a new version of his song "River of Sorrow" with Marc Almond, and it'll be on Marc's new album "Stardom Road", out in May :)
