Oh dear Amy!

Well beginning this evening and into Saturday that same storm system is bringing us only the snow. From Thursday evening to Friday evening, we expect 20-30 cm (8-12 in) of it.

Here in Minneapolis, we got about a foot of the white stuff over last weekend. Now, starting with last night, through Friday evening, we expect another 12"-18". Here in the city, I honestly don't know where they're going to plow it all to, as they still haven't plowed my alley from last weekend!

We got 10-12" of fine powdery stuff that drifted rather fantastically in places. Duluth got over 20" and recorded some of the highest wind speeds ever noted for the city. It had been predicted for two weeks, so I guess it had to happen sooner or later. The TV meteorologists must be breathing a sigh of relief. The rest of us are muttering less savory things while shoveling.

Amy, looks like Tuesday's going to be coldest day of the winter. You'll be lucky if you get above zero all day. We might get up to 10 here and Boston may get into the teens. I'm cold from September to June and ask myself every winter what the hec I'm doing here?

This last storm was a bust... little in the way of accumulation, a bit of brisk wind.

A couple of days of cold don't worry me.. I don't zip up my parka until the temp/windchill hits -20. Of course, I don't stay out very long these days.

Oh not AGAIN, guys.

It's like a spring day here. We've had absolutely NO snow WHATSOEVER, here in Edinburgh
