I just received an e-mail from my friend. She was moved to tears by your posts. Thank you one and all for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers! I'm in touch with her several times a day and she told me things have got even harder today. I honestly didn't know that was even possible :( Please continue the steady flow of positive energy, it's like oxygen to her right now.

In a few hours I'm going to pick up a few boxes of my friend's stuff at her sister's. The sister, coincidently going by the same name as I do, brought them with her last night on her way back from France. All my friend's stuff had to be moved from the house and now that she lives in a gîte, a holiday house, there's no room to store all that. So she's trying to distribute it among friends in both France and the Netherlands. *sigh* Such an ugly situation :(

Hey Agnes. It might be a bit more expensive, but she can rent a container to put all her stuff in. Driving around the country to and from friends with it can be quite stressful.

Thanks, Eva. We have considered that. Storage costs about € 400 a month, though, which she doesn't have at the moment...

My friend doesn't really drive around with her stuff, both French and Dutch friends have agreed to take stuff in and take some with them whenever they're in the neighbourhood (like her sister did yesterday). So my dad and I took 10 boxes to my parents' house this morning, for which I'm really grateful. I've got stuff coming my way (longchairs and salon tables, stuff like that) next time. So I've got time to make room ;)
