Agreed. An absolutely superb night of entertainment. Got the chance to say a quick hello to Janis at the end of the show and to get her to sign my 'Stars' and 'Miracle Row' LP's (!)
The only real surprise of the night was that there were a few empty seats at the gig - the Fareham public (and those of the surrounding areas) obviously did not know what they were missing!!!!!

(fidgeting and looking for his passport) Anyone known which of the airlines is the best for hitchhiking? Haven't slept in a couple of days....might as well not sleep in the belly of a long-range jet....

I can explain 2 of the empty seats, my friends in Portsmouth had tickets and had been anticipating the gig for ages, but on Friday a family issue meant they had to shoot off to Somerset and so theymissed the gig. :( :o

Mmm, now let me see.....
Janis kicked off with Danger, Danger ...... then did Seventeen in the middle of the set....I remember Autobiography......and many others, but I wasnt taking notes. I should have video'd it for posterity!
Overall, 90 minutes of pure musicianship - great guitar, astoundingly powerful voice (for such a tall person !! ).
Speaking of great guitar, just what is that guitar she used in the middle of the set ( and that she is wearing in the website photo)??

regarding the attendance, Janis said the organisers were astounded how many people stayed to listen to janis throughout the set. It was a festival with lots of acts playing so apparently people just drift in and out between the stage and the bar, but everyone stayed put for janis....
really not bad for an audience not made up of Janis fans......
janis also said she had not planned on doing a full 90 minutes, but it went so well.....
