All is going well for our visit by Janis tomorrow. Rudies already present are: Anne, Rowy, Anna, Marjan, Chet, David UK, Pete CC, Strech and Wes along with respective partners. The others will arrive tomorrow for the concert which begins at 2pm.

Tonight we were hoping to have a BBQ but it is raining so we may have to cook indoors. The weather is due to get better tomorrow.

There is quite a buzz around the place with everyone getting to know each other and Janis' music is playing in all three living areas!

We are delegating Mike UK to give a report of the concert tomorrow when he arrives home, as unfortunately, we do not have internet access at the venue.

From all the lucky UK Rudies :D :D :D

Hi,
I just wanted to say that you folks are in for some serious entertainment tomorrow if tonight's gig was anything to go by!

Have fun, and please pass my thanks on to Janis for a truly wonderful evening in Fareham

Doeth provide us with fair weather, so that we may merrily jest and joust, afore the Lady Janis doeth please - nay! Delight us with her songs and her most dexterious (very mod'word!) playing upone the Lute,,,,thinketh,,,,,doeth she play the harpsichord within the style of Jerry Lee Lewis?....

'till the morn' (well about one of the clock, given good speed)......

merlin:rolleyes:

But where are the stroopwaffels? Or the pizza? And Janis' road cup?

If I ever have the money to hold my own LRC, you're bringing the stroopwaffels, aren't you, Dar? And I want to be able to see my face in that Tonette!

There WERE plenty! Much appreciated by all, thanks Marjan. No road cup though, maybe they don't have enough insurance cover to take it out of the US?

Marjan handed a bag to Janis after the Brighton show, but did not say what was in it. So I (being my usual busybody self) said "stroopwafels". When Janis heard the magic word, her eyes lit up, and she said loudly "stroopwafels!" From behind me, someone said "Stroopwafels?" It was the theatre manager, Janis introduced him, and then reached into the bag and brought out a packet and handed it to him. He looked surprised. "Is that for me?" "Yup," she said, nodding her head. "Oh, the kids will love it," he said, coming forward to take the packet from her.
