Baby Austin makes his debut!!!

Cole Elliot Austin arrived on Wednesday, Jan 3rd at 8:14PM (7 lbs 6 oz). He's about the cutest little man I've ever seen. Mommy is doing well...Cole is improving. Even though he's full-term, Cole has had some breathing problems. He's been in the NICU since Wed PM, but the good news is that last night he began turning the corner. So I've run home quickly to send emails to the family and friends (the hospital doesn't have wifi :mad: ). He looked great this morning. Some of the tubes and wires have come off and mom is now holding him while he sleeps. But he's not out of the woods yet, so we need your thoughts and prayers. We can't wait to bring him home (hopefully early next week), but realize that he's getting top-notch care in the NICU. His nurses are wonderful.

I thought I'd shoot off this quick message, because all the unified prayers, meditation, and thoughts never fail to have an effect far beyond what science can explain. Many of my family and friends are joining in a 24 hour fast this weekend just for him. What a blessing!

Mark, Congratulations on the birth of your baby! Very cute! I remember those days well. I have 2 boys (ages 15 and 10) My youngest one was in Nicu for 10 days directly after he was born. It seems he developed pneumonia after the delivery. We were very thankful when we brought him home! Good luck to you both and God Bless!

Cole was discharged from the NICU yesterday afternoon and we just returned from his 1 week visit to his pediatrician. All looks and sounds well. So thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. I sang/played a new lullaby for him last night as mommy rocked him to sleep in the wee hours of the night/morning. And don't worry...Dad will have a guitar in his hands as soon as hold one :D
