Sa-LUTE! And a happy birthday to you. Y'all be good to each other today, y'hear?
Thanks Dar and Dave~! I really was pretty surprised to come home to 3 pages of good wishes, and then this...good heavens! It's too good of you!
Sure makes one feel good to get all this attention simply because the world makes another revolution, but I accept, nonetheless :D
Thanks!
Bat

Hey, some folks feel that birthdays should only be a special occasion until the age of 20 or so....buth they're not Rudies.
From our own special reality, I wish you joy.

What a lovely sentiment...I love 'our own special reality' :D
It's been a fine day, beginning to a fine year!

Coming in late as well......hope it was a good one, Bat and Dar's sentiments are mine as well. :D
Thanks you all...and yes, Dar, the Drummergirl came through with tickets to "Company" which we saw last night at The Playhouse in the Park here in Cinci...neither of us had ever been, and it is a little miracle of a place, 600+ seats and not a bad seat in the house...we were in the top row, and felt as if we had loge seats...perfect! The show was amazing, the musicians were the cast, and one very talented actress doubled on Tuba and Oboe!!!!!!!!
It was an outstanding presentation of a show that I probably would have hated for content...I don't like Guys and Dolls, either...but I would go see it again, except last night WAS the last night, then off to Broadway! Yep, Sondheim (who wrote it) came to see the novel way his show was presented here, and is taking it to Broadway, as is, in toto. It was very different, probably MOST difficult for the actors, and very, very well done! I was not aware of any little glitch; every line, every note was in the right place, the timing was impeccable, and I saw no conductor, tho there must have been someone giving a downbeat now and then. So much talent is out there it boggles my mind!
Here is a great review of the show, Company, gives history, etc. :
