With Janis doing so many BBC interviews while she’s there, I wonder if we can keep tabs on the ones available as Listen Again shows.

For example: David UK gave me the link to yesterday’s show on this page

http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/shows/tom_robinson/

You click on the link for Wednesday, then Janis’ segment begins at time mark 20:10 on the page player.

When you two stop squabbling, I'd like to say thank you to both of you!
I've just listened to it. Brilliant, yet again, still no signs of slowing down. Hope you get some rest tomorrow, Janis!

Anne

ps, it showed up as 1.10 on the BBC player David! :p

It's late but I just listened to the broadcast. I've been a fan of Tom R as well but he really treated Janis well and was a great advert for her. An excellent version live of Joy. Thanks TR and for the rudies pointing the way to this broadcast.

Dee, thanks for posting the link to the radio appearance. Would love to listen to more of these as they become available.

By the way, is this the same Tom Robinson that had the groundbreaking rock song years ago called "Glad to Be Gay"??? This was mid-to-late 70's, I think.

Thanks again...

You're welcome, Matthew. My hope is with so many interview broadcasts happening that we can keep this thread as a reference point for those who may miss them "live." A kind of Index people will add to over the next few weeks.

Just listened to it, thanks you two 'best Rudie buddies' for posting it.

Again it both made me glad and bit sad. IT GOT ME TO THINK THAT JANIS IS GOING TO SUCH LENGTHS TO PLEASE AND WORK ON BEHALF OF US FANS THAT SHE IS IN OVERDRIVE.

Please Janis do take good care of you, when you have problem sleeping after a hard days work it piles up unto the next and soforth........that most surdenly is not a good thing.

On a glad note it was a hairraising interview, she was funny witty and charming, this Tom is a not bad at all.

I just wanted to say I thought Tom did a great interview with Janis, they both take up a bit of room in my cd collection. I also wanted to say that quite often the BBC only leaves interviews like these on there site for a week and then they are replaced, so whoever Tom has on his show next week will be available to listen to. I think it is unlikely they will "archive" the broadcast as it is not a full recording "session." So maybe you should all try to listen to it a few more times before Wednesday.

Gosh, I didn't realize that. I saw him perform in the early 80s. Rumor had it he "went straight" after that (nothing to do with me...). I had wondered where ended up.
