Something terrible is happening and I am not sure I want it to be solved........but there is a surden lady that wants to post in this forum world that has a small problem.
The problem is she has registered both in the names of Fanney and hringir and is listed as such but for some reason she can not post anything and take part in the discussion.
Anybody here that can help solve her problem and make her visable??????
PS. She seems to be able to send PM messages.....strange or a curse??????
I don't understand Gisli. But I do know that people can only post under one screenname. I'd suggest your dear daughter uses only one... :p :D No, I don't know what's wrong. I hope she can start posting soon. I liked meeting her in Rotterdam and Zoetermeer.

Probably she is being barred from posting for registering under two names. That's considered to be "sock puppet" creation, which is a very bad thing and a violation of forum policy.
I'd suggest she contact John L the webmaster and try to get the problem resolved.
What is a "Sock Puppet" and why is it bad?
A sock puppet is a second identity on the same message board. Some people will use a second identity to bolster their arguments, to post messages that they don't want associated with thier main identity, or even to fake arguments with themselves. No matter what the reason why, sock puppets tend to increase the "Noise level" on any message board without adding anything in the way of quality.
On the JIMB, sock puppets are viewed as a serious integrity issue, and any user found to be indulging in running sock puppets will find themselves banned, probably permanently.

Thanks guys for your response....she has sent a note to JohnL but I think this is a CURSE. She has been trying, it seems, for avery long time to post here on this board and it wasnīt until yesterday she tryed to register again under another name, so I donīt think it is a sock puppet...IT IS THE FAMILY CURSE.
Hopefully she can post here later on,for I know there are some people from The Netherlands she wants to talk to and etc.

Gisli...
Suzzane (from NC) had this problem and I even experienced it once for a couple days recently. This isn't about being a sock puppet... I'm not sure what the solution is but if she sent John a note thats the best thing... Most likely he will cancel her screen names and then have her re-register. In anycase let her know I hope she gets the problems ironed out....
Best wishes and Happy New Year

Gisli, it must be an Icelandic thing... :p
