I heard on the news about the earthquake near Taiwan a few days ago. I read that a cable under the sea was heavily damaged and that in many parts of Asia internet, telephone etc. is down. Can you tell more about this and other effects of the earthquake? I hope there were no floods this time or terrible accidents.

Yes, the earthquake in Taiwan knocked out some underwater cable which has affected access to the Internet. It's getting better now. However, I haven't kept up with how the Taiwanese are doing in the aftermath of the earthquake. Maybe you can check CNN Online and click on Asia news.
