View Full Version : All those coming to the UK LRC
Hi everyone of you lucky Rudies. Lynda and I are just off to the LRC accommodation where there is no internet access. I hope to pop back home (only 2 minutes away) each day to post updates. So for now it's goodbye and see you all soon. Contact me on my mobile if you get lost!

Hi, All,
Just finishing the packing. (I even made a list, but I forgot where I've put that!)
I'll be setting off from sunny Gateshead at about 0500hrs tomorrow, first to drop the keys off at my friend's as he's cat watching for me, then to Manchester's home, thence to LRCland via Nottingham to pick up David UK. (So don't expect coherent conversation from me when I arrive, that's all.)
See you there...................... :p
Regards,
PeteCC

There is that, Dar, but will our turn come around again? Is that asking too much?
Mind, if there is anything resembling an LRC in my neck of the woods one of these days, you and Peggy are coming. Even if I have to pay every cent of the journey out of my own too-light-pockets.
Are you arguing with me? Were you about to call me names? Do you think I'm cute? Drop and give me 25!
I'm back in London after a very good 2 days in Norwich, which is to the north east of London. Later today, I will be taking the train to Lewes via East Dulwich, East Croydon and Brighton. I thought I had to go into central London to get the train from Victoria, but Mel says her flat is near the East Dulwich station where there will be trains to East Croydon where there will be more trains to Lewes via Brighton.
One of the newspaper headlines here says train and bus chaos this Easter weekend!

They say that every year - trying to deter us all from leaving our homes! I put it down to the DIY industry who want us all to stay home decorating! ;)
Anyway, am just loading the car, while waiting for PeteCC who's due in a few minutes, then we'll be off to collect David and down to Lewes.
See you later!

Anne will be here with pete cc about 11am- of course I couldn't avoid a night time anxiety attack but am more or less ok now- just chatted with chet who is checking train times too- 4 days with rudies yay- oh and let's not forget the LRC!
from Sheffield but with taxis to & from Sheffield station its cheaper & quicker to drive. That can't be right with all the global warming concerns . Also I will be returning to Sheffield on Sunday(track maintenance day!) when its quite likely the train could be diverted via Inverness:mad:
Now David, breathe deep. I am sure you're going to have a spectacular fun time. (HUG)

Wilt rise fair early, lest dreaded delays to my travels doeth happen. Thence my aged battered red chariot wilt transport me thence to Englande's South Margent. (I'faith this olde Sage douth feel a reddened shyness across mine ancient visage.:o)
God willing we wilt meet in fair constitution

hi Rudies.
The trains do NOT stop at the station nearest to the concert, on weekends.
The town three minutes away, down the road , is fully open, though, & there is a bus service.
Still dont know whether its a Easter Day service.
But, if not, wont take long to walk it.
It's cheaper for me to take the train, then to use the car., oddly eneogh.
have an exhaust problem anyways,
So, just moving my car one mile away from my home, & call out the breakdown service I pay for.;) .
Regards
Chris Sawyer
