.............. Mark will be at the virginia beach library here in Virginia Beach next June..... Mark opened for Janis at that show and he was awesome. Being a "Roadie For a Day" I was able to spend a great deal of time with him and his wife so that was an extra special day....... I look forward to that show....who knows, maybe I can help Mark out with things....

Thanks for the support Jenny! I'd love to have you help out...but with my humble show, I don't know if there'd be much to do!!...UNLESS of course you don't mind changing diapers! ;) The new baby boy's ETA = 3 weeks and counting! We've already picked him out a "Rock Star" outfit and will be fitting him with a ukulele or a mini guitar as soon as he can hold one :-)

Hello folks,
just dropped in to check on ya'll...been very down lately but many folks experience that and didn't want to jump in there with "downer" news...not sure if I am fitting in here now that I don't need to update anyone on my brother (he's doing well!). However, I too was at the show where Mark opened for Janis and loved his music (I loved your music MA) and since I have experience with little babies, four grandsons of my own and we are expecting our 6th grandchild in April, (a girl we're told) I would love to help entertain the little Austin while folks eat at Jenny's. Hey, what the heck Ben, Tony and I offered you and the Mrs a place to stay if you headed back here, perfect timing...just had 725 square feet of stamped concrete patio laid and it's sporting a new 6 person hot tub that will be used on Christmas day I hope. Also just had an early santa gift ... a bose wave radio with CD player delivered so Janis and Mark should sound wonderful on that...perhaps you'd want to stay with us and enjoy the weekend. Oh, I too can cook but will leave the BBQ grill to your skills. Mark, you are more than welcome to have me help with the baby while you perform. Janis....you and Pat are welcome too! Heck....Rev up the damn rudie bus and head for Va Beach ya'll!!!:D

Becks you and Tony are definately on our visitation agenda on our next trip down. I'm hoping to time a long week plus vacation so we have time to spend with family, Jenny, and you folks. I'll let you know as things develop, i rarely know what my days are going to be like until the start of bbq season. I never turn down the outrageously large catering order.. too much profit to be had! Don't worry about fitting in here.. five minutes with you in virginia beach and I had no doubt that you belong with the rest of us nutcases.

Hi Becky! Be careful...we might just take you up on that offer to watch the baby! Actually, we're still waiting on baited breath for his arrival. He's not due until Jan 9th, but of course we were hoping he'd come early. My wife, because she's ready to have him out :D and me because I was hoping for the 2006 tax credit ;) But, if he needs to wait, that's fine too :)

Hope everyone enjoyed their New Years Eve bash. Ours was very quiet...just the two of us alone at home watching the baby twist and turn in the belly. 2007 will surely prove to be an eventful year!

I was at the Birchmere when you opened for Janis in March of 2006 and I can 2nd the feelings of my sister Becky. If she says she will help with the baby while you are performing you can trust and believe her. She is a wonderful mother/grandmother and is great with children. God has a strange way of showing what we already know about family members. She takes somethng from you but gives you back 1000 fold to make up for the take away. I am certain that the devine one is a woman, after all I have been through last year and her compassion and lessons have changed me greatly. May you be blessed with happiness with your newborn.

OMG! Brother Randy, I am so overwhelmed by your post that I am in tears...tears of joy for how much you just touched me with your sentiments. I love you very, very much. I would do this whole year over again for you, but it is better for you (health wise) if we don't :) Thanks for your kind words and love. Mark, I hope that you let us know as soon as the baby arrives that both your wife and baby are healthy and happy. Randy is right, I will follow through with my promises. That goes for you too Redjack and Cathy...the hot tubs hot and the charcoal grill could be too if you show up! Dee, don't feel left out, you can show up too. THe more the merrier. My oldest grandson Hunter, who just turned 8 and his little brother Chase were in our hot tub New Years night and Hunter out of the blue says to his brother, my husband and I "raise your hand if you feel like you're in Heaven"...we all did! It was about 32 degrees, the moon and stars were out and we were enjoying the Christmas lights across the lake...from inside our new hot tub. Aaaahhhhhhhhh

I saw your post from the Kathy Mattea show...looked like you had a great time!

My June TFFM show is nearing (only 5 weeks away) and I just wanted to thank you for your messages on the JIMB to rally the troops for the show! I'll be happy if I can get half the crowd that was there for Janis :-)

Looking forward to catching up again (amazing how it's already been over a year since I was last there...what a great night!!)

Jenny, i'm hoping to catch up with Mark in May, catch his set and maybe get together for some eats. Its really hard for me to commit to any events right now, my company just merged with Independence Blue Cross in Philly and i'm part of the conversion team for our department. I'm on solid call now till October at least so my travel options are limited to where i can get to and from in a couple of hours.

The way its going right now, i may not even be able to visit with Lucille when she hits Pennsylvania. :(

Right now I've taken on 2 part-time jobs as well as my full time and keeping the girls, so, I'm not sure, but, I will see what I can do. I'd love tom see Mark perform again! :)
