For some reason this reminds me of two lines from the 1992 movie "Sneakers" (which is well-worth revisiting--it's almost prophetic in several respects).

One guy says to the Man In Black (James Earl Jones) who has just shown up to crash the party: "I want peace on earth and goodwill to men".

Jones replies: "We're the United States Government--we don't DO that sort of thing".
