View Full Version : Sales report!

Well, we're nine days away from closing the sale - and we're up to almost $12,000!! Last year's sale, which was considerably longer, raised a total of $17,000 (though that amount includes postage and handling costs, to be honest), so we think this is going very well. And of course, we have the two guitar bids, which will bring it up considerably again!
I see that the last of the shiny red shirts sold; too bad I'm not as small as I once was, back in my roping days, or I'd have bought it for squaredance night. And the picture frames are finally selling, thanks to Jenny's post. They're absolutely beautiful. (This year, because I'm helping out, I get paid in merchandise - one of each item I want, except for the Living Room Concert and other foundation items of course.) The bookmarks are beautiful too, though I have to admit that they're much too pretty to use in a book. Mine are currently stuck on my fridge with magnets.
Sales have slowed, fortunately for the gals. Janis told me she now knows the first name of every local post office worker - at two different stations! I tell you what, I just don't know how they keep their energy up.
Well, that's it for the update. I'm anxiously checking figures every night when I get home from work (and to be perfectly frank, I check them sometimes at work, too - God bless computers!). I know from the messages here that packages have been arriving quickly, and though there have been some mistakes in the orders, I also know that Janis makes them right. What a great world it is!
I hear some interesting little things are planned for the website next year, mostly to do with the merchandise. A monthly sales item, I'm told, knocked down ridiculously low. What a treat!!
Thanks to all of you for being so supportive!!

Wonderful news in every way, Judy. Let's see if we can break the record!

Um....you haven't by any chance heard anything about an April Fool's Day site change, have you?

Judy... Thanks so much for the periodic updates.... Hearing things are going well for Janis & Gang the Sale and the Foundation always brings a smile to my mind....
As you mentioned changes for upcoming year and Dave posted the above I also would like to say that I missed greatly the annual well thought abuse that we were subjected to by the April Fools website. I understand there was so much going on at the time this past year... The Start up of the NEW & VERY IMPROVED web site that we have come to enjoy, and a very hectic tour schedule but hopefully 2007 will return this special edition to us.... Now I do know that Nobody related to this website staff does things in a half assed manner so I understand it is time consuming.... But I have to say the April Fools edition of 2005 was a class effort by all.... I learned so much from that day...
I have a funny feeling that 2007 is going to be a wonderful year as related to all things Janis.... Afterall... A new book to look forward to... Three millionth visitor will be here at the website... and who knows what else... but it will be good...:o

Thats it...

To all HAPPY AND SAFE HOLIDAYS
