That Denim work shirt and T-shirt with Janis Logo on them are temting to have.
Have almost all the cd´s.
Any suggestions what else to buy that I have not mentioned above?

Gisli,
I would agree with your choices so far and suggest any items they are carrying that you cannot buy in Iceland. So that would all items but CD's, of course you will need to buy FITNB so Janis can sign it for you. Janis book of poetry is a good choice, especially since she has updated it with reflects her thoughts more recently on what she wrote years ago.
Please take lots of pictures of your trip and the Rudies you meet along the way.

You may have to wait until the holiday sale for more shirts. In Natick, Team Janis brought Billie's Bones, FINB, and the book of poetry that Janis wrote when she was young.

Ohh shoot, well there is always the store here.
Sorry Cardiffgal for not posting sooner, I would love to get the story from you, need to know what a snail mail is first:o he humm:o
The thing is easter is very busy time for me, lot of church and family activity. It is the time of conformation (my son included) and in a nation with a population of 300.000 you are bound to know enough people to be invited to at least 4 ceremonies. We drove 600 km (ca 400 miles) yesterday to attend to one and are greeting family members tomorrow and on sunday which is my sons day of conformation. There will be about 100 hundred attending so time will pass quickly this weekend.
The thing is everybody know that we are going to see Janis and want to hear more of here work so there will be a Janis introduction weekend also for me.:D
Now about that snail mail???????????

Gisli, "Snail Mail" is slang for the only mail there ever USED to be before email. You know, that person who goes from door to door, putting mail in your mailbox. The postal service or whatever you call it there. Here it is the
US postal service (obviously!)
Hope that helped!
Marcia :)

Hey....we are the first generation to experience a greater depth of "Future Shock" than our parents. Weird place to be, isn't it?
That said, if you want to buy something at a Janis Concert--buy something that will bring one a hug. Which is probably almost anything, but make sure--those hugs are both unforgettable and priceless.

Thanks for putting that quote as your signature. I had forgotten all about that story! I'm in the South and that is soooooo par.
You are very right, Dave. Those hugs are priceless. As in how much would one pay to get a hug from one of the most wonderful women in the world? No figure could cover it.
What's more priceless than a hug? Ask DavidUK.
For me, nothing beats going palm-to-palm with her. And I don't mean a handshake.

what's more priceless than a janis hug? being greeted with "awwww, david uk!!" just before the hug, that's what:)
and yes chet, your hand comparing moment was a classic but not as classic as when Anne & Mike, Pete CC and I were having breakfast with a certain young woman from connecticut, and you appeared in the doorway... paused expressionless for a few seconds and uttered disbelievingly... "song????"
priceless!:D

I see DavidUK doesn't want to share his moment with Janis. Or has he forgotten?
