Bush Tells Conciliatory Lie To Harry Reid

Even in the midst of a seemingly polite meeting with the new Senate leadership, Bush couldn’t help telling a pointless lie. Gesturing to Harry Reid, Bush says: “Heh, we’re both from out West. He’s from Nevada, I’m from West Texas.”

THIS IS A DIRTY LIE AND WE ARE TIRED OF HEARING IT. We explain, again.

George Walker Bush was born in New Haven, Connecticut. And it wasn’t an accident. His parents lived there, due to his dad being a student at Yale. And it’s not real shock that George Herbert Walker Bush would attend Yale, since he’s a rich New England yankee who was born in Massachusetts.

For his formative first three years, Li’l Dubya lived in Connecticut. For another 10 years, he was schooled in New England (Andover, Yale, Harvard). Summers and holidays were all spent at Kennebunkport, Maine.

Not “from West Texas” in any way.

But thank you, Mr. President, for correctly pronouncing “Nevada,” finally. You yankees rarely get it right.

Well, Hillary Clinton isn't from New York, either, though Minnesota's Governor, Tim Pawlenty, is. Politics definitely should not be taught alongside American Geography.

Mind, both of them seem to be able to pronounce "nuclear".

That's true. Hillary Clinton is not from New York, but then I've never heard her claim to be either. I've heard Bu$h say many times that he's from Texas, trying to align himself with the rough pioneering spirit of the cowboy when indeed he is not. He's been trying to pass himself off as some kind of "Marlboro Man" when an image of "Scrooge McDuck" is probably more appropriate.

As for Pawlenty, I can't speak on that area due to a lack of knowledge and awareness on my part. I haven't paid enough attention.

Paul--most Minnesota don't know much of anything about Tim Pawlenty....he's the Invisible Governor.

For some reason, George Bush tends to remind me somewhat of Mr. Rogers after a lobotomy. Of course, Mr. Rogers wasn't from New York either, but G. W. Bush does at times seem to be from the Land Of Make-Believe.

:D Actually I think Mr. Rogers after a lobotomy is preferable. He's smarter. :p

Really though, I think Bu$h can be thought of as the king of the land of make-believe on Mr. Rogers show and Cheney is the puppeteer with his hand up the puppets a$$ calling all the shots and making him perform.
