I've been lurking for a few days, ever since the Philly show. Can't believe I just found this community. I've been enjoying Janis's music since I was 14, (you do the math). I read somewhere where a fan described Janis as "providing the soundtrack of her life". I wasn't the person quoted, but I easily could have been. Glad to be here.

Hi there, Pesky.

Just wanted to say hello and welcome aboard. Similar to you, I've listened to Janis ever since Stars, but only recently discovered the JIMB. I'm now seriously addicted--- and there are plenty of worse things to be addicted to! When my partner and I went to Janis's show in Natick, MA a few weeks ago, we got together for dinner beforehand with other Rudies from the Boston area. Everyone was as warm and genuine and spirited in person as they were online!

welcome , The Philly show was the best thing ive done since the Knitting factory concert in Hollywood . Janis really is special . anywhere and anyway you get there .glad to meet you , its ok to lurk for a few days. as long as you unlurk.. whatever that means .

Thanks to all who said hello. I was at the Philly show, but am only working in the area for a few months, so don't know yet if I'll be around for the Poconos show or not. I think I did see the Ruddies at the show. The reserved table, right? I believe that was my 19th or 20th time seeing Janis. She never fails to amaze me. The simplicity is a bit overwhelming.

Thanks again for the welcome. I'll be around for a while.
