I heard a female comediene once say "A Jew can always recognize another Jew". Not being Jewish myself, I don't know if she's right or not, but the audience was roaring with laughter.
Through conversations about music and artists over the years, many non-Jewish people I've spoken with assumed you were bi-racial. (They assumed that about Phoebe Snow also!) So my question is - has this been a common assumption made by others? Has it helped or hindered your success?
I have a cousin with extremely curly hair, which she prefers to wear in a "fro". People actually ask her what race she is (which I think is rude) and if my question is rude, I apologize in advance.
