Good morning all...
Well our dear friends Marjan and Annette are back on the road after a really nice visit here... So heres the visit in a nutshell....They arrived... After cordial greetings and the passing of Strappenwoofers from them we sat and talked... We laughed....Suspecting that they were tired from their travels we gave them an option.... Relax, take it easy around the house and yard or..... Go to a concert 60 miles away.... After an intense discussion that lasted neary 4 or 5 seconds the decison was made... We were going to the Lou Christie concert in Parsippany, New Jersey...
We went to the concert (Marjan, Annette, Carrot, Betty and I... Meeting my brother George in Jersey) got there early enough to get second row seats and had a glorious dinner of PIZZA.... At 7:05 the concert started... The weather was perfect... clear and not to warm...not to chilly.... After a few songs I was informed that some of the songs that Lou wrote and played had gotten air time on Dutch radio...It was a good show and I'd say we all really enjoyed it....We got back home at about 10:50pm and sat out in the yard for another hour and laughed and talked somemore.... Much gossip about the rudies we've all met in our travels.... If your ears burning you now know why... (I'm sure Redjack had smoke pouring from his ears)...All in all we had a great time...
Our friendly Dutch travelers were really a pleasure to have stop by and "rough it" here with us.... This morning at 8am we all met for coffee and some kind of cake that Betty got up early and went out and bought as the place we like donuts from hadn't yet made the morning donuts... After the passing of Icelandic Schnapps (Compliments of Gisli...Yes Gisli this bottle is making the rounds of the US) We joked, laughed and enjoyed the company...Quest, my dog when he's good, but when he dumps or barks Carrot's service dog liked Annette and Marjan... He didn't even eat them as long as they would throw his tennis ball) I won't mention the part where certain travelers locked the keys of their appartment in the appartment... But Betty got the spare key and life was good... I won't mention either the part that Marjan's suitcase weighed about the same thing as a moderate sized compact car... (Thank God we didn't put them in the third floor appartment)... With that and last minute directions to Newark, New Jersey (about 15 miles from where we were last night, our newly met (old friends of a couple years) hopped into the car and headed off to combat the traffic... God Speed and safe journey.... Enjoy Manhatten...We loved the visit and people...
Oh by the way... Annette was driving... STAY OFF THE SIDEWALKS....
Best to all
