Hmm, sounds like a Leonard Cohen song...
Well guys, Leslie and Pat have lost their lifeline and hopefully it won't take too long for them to get back on track.
How did we ever live without computers.

Just received an email from Leslie! That must mean they are back on line, duh. They are busy having a life outsite the MB, not checking in on a daily basis as we do :D

I'm actually here for about two seconds before crashing!
Been busy at several projects and volunteer jobs and haven't been able to be here much.
Actually, Randy & Betty - I suspect one of the things I've been working on might be of interest to you. Just found out that NEPA will likely be a major landing zone if metro-NY ever has to be evacuated. Like they'll be piling people in trains to Port Jervis and dumping them to seek shelter along w/ the people who may well run out of gas in our neck of the woods (particularly the I-84, 80 and 78 corridors!) I've volunteered to work with the Red Cross, our local animal shelter and several other organizations on setting up a data base for helping to provide shelter and care for the pets that will likely accompany these people. The database will also be used in cases of flood and other evacuations on a more local basis.
It's a big, big job to tackle, and while it's one I hope never has to be put to the test, but it's very fulfilling none the less. I'm also attending various meetings to see if therapy dog "Molly" can get K-9 Search and Rescue Certification. She's kind of "old" (at 4) for the training, but I think she could be really good at it. Of course, that means many hours of training for me to go through as well.
In short, life is good, I retired early and I think working for the community is a good way to say thanks for those blessings!
And Kath, Wes, etc. - You're all troublemakers! :D But it was nice to be missed.
Wish I could promise to be here more, but days are running a minimum of 12 hours long (7 days a week) for most of the next two weeks.
