Of course Hippiefest will be just a bit better tomorrow and the day after when Janis performs but then what the hell... Who would have guessed that she would sign onto the bill after we bought tickets... :( Still we will make due and have a good time... For the record the event is getting a lot of press around here.... Television spots... and a major feature article in the main local paper detailing the venue, the history of the acts and the songs of the acts from the 60's...

Sooooo what is fashionable dress for an old long haired farte to wear to hippiefest? Well the thought "nothing" came to mind but I guess jeans and my Janis tye-dyed shirt is about right... But then again if I wore nothing I'm sure it would be considered to be "No big thing"....

That said, for the past few days the both houses have been in a scurry...Two trips to Jersey for the Lou Christie concert.... Carrot went to the Styx and Kansas concert last night... Betty and I had to babysit brother George who's birthday it may have been.... We've been busy discussing our Rudie guests that will be here on the 17th...If they get here early enough we can even go to a free Lou Christie concert in Jersey if they aren't too burnt out from all their hectic travels... Or we can all just sit out in the yard and relax over a pizza... ;) Hope the airlines fiasco hasn't made them to crazy... Lots of discussion about the picnic....Making a major list of things to blame Redjack for...and well quite bluntly if we find something we can't blame on Redjack we simply blame Gisily....That seems to work quite well...

Just a comment .... To those going to the picnic that have not yet met Irish Beth and Redjack.... Your gonna meet some classy folks that really put out a great effort to make your visit great... but even so, it's ok to post-it notes on Redjacks back when he's not looking that say things like "Kick me" or "My fault"... and Beth is a seriously funny person... Make sure to have a chat with her...She missed her calling as a stand up comic...and easy to trip... ;)

That said I'm sitting here looking at our 7th row center seats tickets for the concert tonight and drooling.... Well guess I best get started getting ready... Wish you all were here.... Well I don't mean here as in as this room because it would be very crowded... What a great week to be a Rudie!!!!

Happy day to all... Or else!!!!!

Best to all

Have a wonderful time at Hippiefest. (Who is Carrot, by the way?)
Personally I think you should wear stockings and high heels, Randy.

Eva Eva Eva... Queen of the Rudie Fashions....

Welllllll I wore the Rudie Tye-dyed tee of course... I was amazed at how many tye-dyed shirts I saw... One guy was wearing a tye-dyed polyesture leisure suit... Guess he was another cross over from the Disco Days... I did see a few other take no prisoner shirts... :) Betty and I were talking with another couple that were all excited to see Janis's name on the poster... and even more so when we told them about The Swiftwater show in October which is close... They said they hadn't heard about her in years so I told them about "Folk is the new Black" and suggested they visit this website... They were seated behind us in row G... (Which in reality was only 6 rows back from the stage) We were in row F  There was no row A!!!!

I'd suggest hip hugger bellbottoms, a suede vest with fringe and a pair of Jesus stompers...or white poet shirt with the drawstrings undone, extremely tight leather pants and barefoot...then again, dirty jeans and a poncho work too...
