Sorry; for some reason part of this isn't showing up in the news update, so I'll post it here until John can fix it...
First, an announcement: we are holding a contest* to gather images for use in a Rudie Holiday Card pack. There are only two rules: 1) You must incorporate the Rude Girl logo (shown at right - image links to a 300 .dpi version) into the design, and
2) The theme must be a holiday. We don’t care which holiday – Christmas, 4th of July, President’s Day – so have fun with it.*Here’s an example of something already created by Gigglepotomus.
But wait! What’s my prize if I win?
Well, if you are one of the lucky people whose image is chosen for the holiday cards, you will win a pack of the cards… and, because Saxman Mike was good enough to purchase and ship 10 Stars hardcover editions as a donation to the Foundation, you will also win a signed, personalized Stars hardcover book.*And believe it or not, I’ll even pay the postage (within reason – if you’re in Japan, we’ll need to talk!)
But wait! How do I enter? And is there a deadline?
Deardline is August 30th, but we can really use them as soon as possible. To enter, just send an email to cardcontest@janisian.com with your image (must be high rez, 300 dpi or better!). Please include your name (or handle) and physical mailing address. Do not compress the picture. Do not take a .jpg and try to turn it into a high rez by re-naming it; the quality will still be below what we need. Once you've done that, drop an email to janis@janisian.com and let me know it's been sent.
