What is your favorite fair/carnival food?
Me?
Funnel cakes, hands down! With just powdered sugar! Yumm-o!

Deep-fried cheese curds. Too much salt and fat in every bite, but I can't resist them.
Worst fair food: someone at the Minnesota State Fair offered a battered and deep-friend Snickers bar a few years ago. They were not back the following years.

I think the deep-fried candy bars are still going strong around here. I'm not sure. Never had one. I'm afraid I might LIKE them! ;)
OOoooh, Mixty, that's my very-close-2nd fave! MMmmm
I'm a sucker for kettle corn. Corn dogs would be second.
I'm good for one bite of the sweet stuff, then I pass it around.
I tried a deep fried Twinkie a few years ago. thankfully there were several others to give it to. I don't get the attraction frankly, but at least I can say I tasted one.
I've seen deep fried Snickers AND Oreos here. I think it's a terrible thing to do to a perfectly good Oreo. Now chocolate covered Oreos are a whole other thing. Especially if it's really good chocolate.......mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Kettle corn is good stuff. I've never tried the deep-fried candy bars either, much for the same reason you haven't, Karen.
Perhaps battered and fried stroopwafeln would be a nice chance, with a bit of the exotic to it?

I'm thinkin' Oktoberfest food - a big honkin' hunk of roast pork on the bone, and a liter of bier, it doesn't get any better than that.
