I may head down there for the day -- but probably alone -- would be nice to meet up with some Rudies for the show.

Bryan.
Charleston is only an hour and 20 minutes from me...so, it's most likely I will be there. What do you know about getting tickets, etc?

Rose....Janis plus 4 other acts... (None of which am I familiar with) $10.50 advance...$15.00 at the door Thats all I found out by going to the website then clicking on Purchase tickets.... If you go, by all means have a wonderful time.... I don't think we will get to another Janis concert until October 27th...
Best to you

All you lucky people with concerts a few hours away... I say go!
I hope to be back living on the East coast again in a year. I know Janis will be writing her autobiography then, but will she still be touring occasionally? Two years in exile out here will be enough! I have to get to another concert.
By the way, Charleston looks like a decent city, from what I've seen of it. I've drive along U.S. Route 60 and the New River Gorge and Gauley Bridge were absolutely gorgeous. All those towns on the river's shore in the valleys--that's the kind of place I love.
((secretly wondering how Eva will turn this into a foodthread :D ))

Mountain Stage is a great show - you guys will have a wonderful time.
And take my word for it: Kaki King is an astonishing guitarist. I stand in awe of her.

Sounds like a great show....at a great price! And Charleston is only about three hours away. And, yes, it will one of a few opportunities left to see JI before 2007, the "taking a year off" year.
If I am able to go I'll post another note on here and see about meeting up with folks. Looks like the place has festival seating so coordinating that would be easy.
