. . . . and so far I'm very happy.

YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY!

FIRST thing I did was to set a restore point so I could go back if I decided I'd made a dreadful mistake.
SECOND thing I did was to save a copy of my bookmarks in the Firefox format.
THIRD thing I did was to export the bookmarks into an .html file.
After that I let 'er rip.

There are some add-ons that won't work because they haven't been upgraded to work with the newer Firefox yet but those are not some that are particularly important. They are 'Linkification' (that converts text links on a page to active clickable links and 'QuickRestart' that allows you to click an icon and immediate restart the browser rather than shut it down and start it back up. <shrug> Those will automatically be updated as soon as the authors of the add-ons update them to work if they ever do. If they don't update them then it's no big deal,.... and I'd be willing to bet that I can -force- the issue in some way if I get too annoyed by not having them.

This new version seems to be faster, lighter, and more nimble on this machine but again,... YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY! Make sure you can go back if it doesn't work out for you.

----- hours later addendum -----

I hadn't realized how much I had come to depend on the "Linkification" add-on until I had to do things the long way. After having the ability to just click on any link that appeared and have it work it's a bit annoying to have to copy the plain-text link and then paste that link into a new tab. Yeah, I know,.... I'm a whiner. <chuckle> I'll live.

ALSO - this is a bit more memory intensive and I would -not- recommend it for an older machine with lesser memory capabilities. At times it can stutter just a little.
