YUCK!

Lessons in how to torture a cat

No.1: Stuff it with food till it can no longer walk and/or has a heart attack.

Awww, poor cats! I like the commentary on the #1 Fat Cat (Lee Raymond). hahaa, classic.

My cat has actually slimmed down since I got her at the animal shelter:

That is one beautiful cat, RKitko! She probably lost weight because she is allowed to run free and is not confined to a cage with no exercise--not a normal state of affairs for a normal cat, which she appears to be...Lovely!

Rkitko,

That is a gorgeous cat! I don't think I have ever seen one with markings like that. She looks like she's a mix of Siamese and tabby.

As to those poor fat cats, I have a friend whose stepmother had a cat called "Mr. Peaches" that tipped the scale at 35lbs. The first time I saw it I thought it was a cocker spaniel.

The poor animals. I am sure they don't feel very well.

Rkitko, that's a beauty. Indeed, interesting marking.

Aww, thanks everybody for complimenting on how pretty Macka is. She knows it--she's quite the princess! Didn't mean to hijack the thread, though ;)

I don't know cat breeds at all. I know she's a mutt, and wondered about her ring-tail, which is characteristic of a Maine Coon, right? I know she's not, but she might be some percentage... I picked her out 'cause she had those gorgeous blue eyes, was meowing a lot (she's very vocal!), and was the only kitty awake at the shelter. The rest wouldn't give me the time of day.

That is one beautiful cat, RKitko!

I second that. A pretty kitty, even tho my cat allergy means keeping my distance from them at all times. Actually, her coat reminds me of a butterscotch sundae.
