Hey all,
Just wanted to check in and say hi. Jenny said hi for me I see. My hand is getting better. Still stiff even a month later, but we're getting there. I've been studying for my Masters in Information systems for the last two months and been busy with that. Actually, between that and work I haven't had time for much else.
We recently had to acquire a "new" car as a city transit driver in a 12 passenger van destroyed the back end of our old Honda sedan. The insurance, of course, totalled it. It was in a parking lot so he didn't get a ticket and he just took out the back end of the car while I was pulling through the lot behind him. I'm perfectly fine but the car pretty much died.
A friend in the military, who is being assigned to Korea, leaving on the 21st, had given an old (read 1992) Toyota to his stepson who subsequently ran away from home. So, he and his wife decided that we needed the car more than the kid did so they gave us the old beater. Meanwhile we took a trip to Richmond and bought a 2004 PT Cruiser on the 4th of July. It's bright blue and the first time we've ever owned a car this new. The upshot is it's also the first time we've ever had two cars. Now we can actually go to work at different times and Kathleen doesn't have to wait for me to get off work when I have to work late.
It was nice to have some free time to peruse the board and attempt to catch up. I'm looking forward to the picnic so I can really catch up and meet so many new people.
Thinking of you more often than I can log in...lurking when I can,
