Hi gang, is there anyone aboard who knows if Trend Micro's GoRed Pro provides enough protection for my pc at home? I've used Norton 360 Premier Edition so far, but it slooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwzzzzzzzzzz my pc down considerably, so I'm looking for something lighter on the system.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Check out ESET's NOD32.. we are using it in our school system, and I have been quite impressed with it.

I second that! If you're going to pay for one, pay for this one. It's not "pretty" but pretty isn't what gets the job done. It won't bog your system down by being a resource hog either.

I'll add a third nomination. We've been using it on some of our satellite office systems and it gets the job done with a small footprint.

Thanks guys, def looks like an interesting option. Do you specifically recommend NOD32 or should I go for Smart Security?

Since they've got free trial offers why don't you go for the trial offers of the NOD32 first and then if you find or feel that you need the extra protections try the Smart Security? Afterall,... that's why they've got the "Free Trial" to begin with.
