Rudies -- Be careful out there! I had a car crash this weekend and totalled the car. It can happen to you! I am bruised and sore but otherwise unharmed.

Well, glad you're okay, Bryan. Those cars just have a mind of their own, sometimes. It could happen to any of us, that's true. You needed to have trained your car better. Accidents can be pretty messy.

Thank you. At least it was "the other guy's fault." For once, someone else was even less attentive that I am.

 Glad you're okay, Bryan.
I've been in exactly one car accident – as a front seat passenger. The car was hit when we were stopped at a stop sign and some fool came barrelling down the off ramp of a highway and hit us. We were both wearing seat belts, but I the impact was so forceful that we lurched forward into the windshield. Well, the driver did, and suffered a concussion. I knocked the rear view mirror off with my forehead and had to be stitched up. Talk about bloodletting - it was everywhere! Oy.
One car accident per lifetime is more than sufficient if you ask me.
I am glad you are allright...
Scary!

Glad to hear you are OK Bryan..I've been in a number of car crashes (none of them my fault) and it wasn't fun and games afterwards...
Take care of yourself,

I think the first thing one ought to learn in Driver's Training Classes is that a car is is deadly weapon, and must be treated as such! ...at least that was the lesson my father imparted to me and I never forgot it...pretty graphic.
...and I'm very glad you're OK, Brian! Remember what the other guy did, and don't do it!

Just glad you're okay. A car can be replaced, even though it's usually a pain in the butt. But look after yourself....especially if any new aches and pains show up after a few days. It's possible to get some internal bruising and the like from the seatbelt or just from being bounced around and sometimes it doesn't show immediately. DO NOT hesitate to get to a doctor if something pops up over the next week that doesn't seem right.
And if it was the other guy's fault, make sure his insurance company knows your car was a one of a kind prototype or something that is completely irreplaceable. Being an official Rudie vehicle, it must surely be worth several times the Blue Book value.
For a minute there I was going to ask if Bryan is accident prone but then I noticed this was a thread from 2006. It's true, the Internet never forgets. Pity. LOL

Oh, to have a camera handy when Sister Rose is driving. With her at the wheel, there is no need for helicopter ambulances.
