Ok Oak Kitten, you've made me a believer! I think it works this way: legs get restless, start jerking, toe gets stubbed on Ivory, jerking stops. It really has helped, and although it hasn't prevented restless leg syndrome, it has shortened the duration!

Blech! That probably works - you won't snore if you're dead. The guy that touts the Ivory soap under the sheets for leg cramps remedy also says that if you have a problem with discolored toe nails - (caused by fungus under the nails) you can cure it by rubbing Vicks Vapo Rub on your nails for a week or two. I haven't tried it yet. I lost both big toe nails by wearing steel-toed hiking boots that were too small for me. I borrowed them from my sister (the boots, not the toe nails). Descending from a hike in the Alps with my toes jamming into the front of the boots did the job. When they finally grew back, they were and still are discolored. (Probably too much information here.) I've been meaning to try this remedy, but I keep forgetting to buy the Vicks.

It's no mystery....I hide spoonsful of it in Eva's shoes....
