Hey, Dee
How is the new laptop holding up? I am just days away from getting my new computer. I will probably end up getting a desktop computer, but..................

Great! I like it, although I did attach an external full size USB keyboard. I could use the laptop one if I wanted to type gibberish. There is just enough of a key spacing difference that I prefer the full size one. I have also adapted to Windows 7 without much difficulty.
I may invest in another PC too, somewhere down the road.

I like the idea of a laptop since you don't have to have a lot of cords, wires--the whole tangled mess. But I am used to a 19" screen and a full size keyboard. Also, I am willing to open a PC and poke around there if something needs fixing. But I wouldn't dare mess with a laptop.
There's a pretty good looking Acer at Future shop for about $380 and a better looking HP for $500. I'll buy one or the other next week.
You can attach a monitor to a laptop if it has the jack for one. Mine does, but I haven't got around to trying it yet. My laptop screen is 15.6" (widescreen) and I am getting used to it even if I do have to put on my reading glasses. LOL

Yeah, Dee, so |I guess you saw the post about my finally getting a new PC. Yesterday |I got it and am thrilled so far. The keyboard is a little odd-not enough room for the arrow keys so I have to adjust my game play.
I had no idea from looking at PCs online how SMALL this desktop would be. Just an added bonus.
I decided to spring for an extra $80 to get the extended warranty for 2 years--full parts and labour.

Just got a new laptop myself and having to adjust to Windows 7 is the biggest thing for me...I got an HP ProBook 17 inch. Full size keyboard...can't deal with those little tiny keyboards...fumble fingers everywhere with those things. There is actually a lot of space between the letters on the keyboard, I have to get used to that a bit. the keyboard is completely enclosed so nothing will get dropped down into the computer itself like the last one...like that a lot!

Well, if your machines have the power for it (mine doesn't), try "WORLD OF TANKS". The title accurately describes the game, and it has about as much subtlety as you would expect.
