I don't think it has been released here yet. Someone alerted me to it a couple of months ago.

I'll certainly see it when it is released.

Is this another "End of the world" movie? Cause I just love those kinds of movies, exspecially if the world getīs rescued just before the end of the movie.

...Sort of. It's Al Gore's (2000 U.S. Presidential Candidate and former Vice President) documentary on what he's been doing since he lost the election. It focuses on his lecture series on global warming--travelling the country, explaining to people why they should care and what the science says about global warming. Actual facts presented, not just some blathering "talking head" on tv that denies the science is "good enough."

The end is sort of uplifting... Everyone I've talked to says they come home feeling like they want to make a change or do something to help. The question is, though, will the movie be powerful enough to convince them to make a change? I'm usually pessimistic about such things. Though the greater message is one of change on the policy level. If the people are educated on a subject and their opinion polls reflect our discontent with the inaction of the US in this environmental issue, perhaps our representatives will (for once!) represent us.

Cardiffgal,

My husband and I saw it last weekend. It is very good, and it holds your attention, even though it is a film of a multi-media presentation. I kept thinking as I watched it - Why couldn't THIS Al Gore have been the one on the campaign trail in 2000? He would have won more decisively and GWB would not have been able to steal the election - another inconvenient truth.
