Just a heads-up to say there seem to be a number of very dodgy video or other links spreading on FB. In the past day I've seen suspicious links appear on 5 friends' FB saying they 'like' them. I'd just urge people to do a sanity check before clicking on a link 'liked' by a friend, i.e. ask yourself 'would that person really 'like' that? i.e. if you saw a link appear called 'the world's sexiest girl' you might reasonably assume it was not from me

I know the above sounds fairly obvious, but I couldn't believe some of the things the 5 friends I mentioned alledgedly 'like'!

One page you might actually want to 'like' is the Sophos/Naked Security page, which gives details of FB security issues and scams, which you'll be alerted to as they are picked up... it's here ----> https://www.facebook.com/SophosSecurity?ref=ts

For a while I was getting FB IM links that said something like "look at this photo of you" inside a pop up IM.... but I figured out it was associated with two of my FB friends accounts and it only happened when they were logged on.... their accounts had some kind of virus (and I knew those two friends wouldn't send me stuff like that anyway) ... but since I've blocked everything from them and now do a secure sign on... I have no problems anymore.

yes, secure sign on is good.
