Yesterday I bought a new short sleeved shirt, to add to the few I have for Summer. In the change I got back from a 20 dollar bill was a five, with a note written across the top of it. It referred me to to a Web site which tracks bank notes.

In this case, Where's Willy? (http://www.whereswilly.com/) refers to the face used on the Canadian $5 note: former prime minister Sir Wilfred Laurier (http://www.bankofcanada.ca/en/banknotes/general/character/2001-04_05b.html).

So far it seems I am only the second person to log in about it. The first was the originator on June 8 from Dorval (Montreal Quebec).

This bill is starting it's journey in Dorval, a suburb of Montreal. I'm looking forward to seeing how far it can travel; so please be sure to mention how and where you found it.

Bizarre.

Yeah, I got one of those as change at the Deli downstairs at work a few months back. I logged in as well. Mine started in Newfoundland of all places. I think there had been at least three entries before mine.

You're right, it is tres bizarro.

Well my willy is now in the hands of Treats coffee shop at Minto place. Er, um, I mean the $5 bill (naughty Dee). LOL

Stopped in there to pick up a couple of muffins for Jimmy and me for breakfast. Raisin oatmeal if it's important ... Dar!

I've gotten a few US dollar bills with "Where's George" and a website written in red on the bill. I entered them into the system and it was interesting to watch them tour the country. US currency has a relatively short lifespan for some reason! Have fun watching "your" money change hands! :) I wonder if writing in red "If found, please mail to....." would get any results?

wheresgeorge.com can be rather entertaining (I think that's the address). I am often amused by the artwork people add to dollar bills (rarely to higher denominations, for whatever reason). For a while, half of the ones in circulation around here sported a thought balloon that had George saying "I grew hemp", and I once encountered one that had been overstamped so that George had a strong resemblance to Santa Claus.

Everybody needs a hobby, I guess.

Oh dear, was I supposed to add a decoration? LOL

Well that solves the mystery of why there was an ink drawing of a quill pen stamped on it.
