I've been recommended to download this by quite a few people, so I was wondering if anyone has any experience of it?
Currently I have AVG Free, Malwarebytes, Windows Defender and of course the windows Firewall.
If I decided to download Microsoft Security Essentials, would I need to uninstall any of the above?
Many thanks!

Security and Microsoft... oxymoron.

It would replace AVG... and despite it's dubious pedigree it's actually pretty good.
As Amy says, M$ and security aren't usually heard in the same breathe, with the possible exception of derision... but MSE does do what it's supposed to do and I've never seen a case of it breaking anything in the process either - this despite me having close ties to a specialist security network that feeds new virus definitions back to AV vendors, so I do get to hear about issues that aren't generally known.
It's one of only two products (the other is Windows 7) that M$ have ever got right.

cheers amy and rich.
I'll wait for a couple of other opinions but, as much as I am suspicious of Microsoft, I think I may go with it.
