Firewire is already notorious in security circles because (unlike USB) by default it trusts everything as much as your machine's local hardware.
Now Apple have compounded their many sins by introducing a new connector that goes even faster which has direct, unfettered access to your main memory - bypassing all of your security software in the process just like Firewire does. :rolleyes:

Couple that with the 'less skilled' userbase they target and it's a recipe for disaster.
